I upgraded my 2004 Microsoft Office for MAC to the 2008 version. A mistake. The convenience and operation of WORD that I have used and grown used too for over 15 years is gone. It is inconvenient and difficult to use. I say that not because it is different from what I am used to but because the operation and use of the system does not flow naturally. Rather than one movement to do a function there are now two (or maybe 3). This is a big mistake on my part.

Pros: great software suite

Cons: doesn't work for more than one user at a time

I bought this as a second copy of Microsoft Office so that my wife and I could use the software at the same time. Didn't work! This package is supposed to allow three licensed users. Plus, I already had a separate package from an upgrade. Four licenses total. But it still will not allow us to use Word, Entourage or any other part of the software at the same time. She has to quit out of all applications on her computer upstairs for me to use it on mine downstairs and vice versa. I like Office but this is really annoying. I've tried everything to fix it but can't figure it out. And don't know who to call. Microsoft makes it very difficult to reach them for assistance.

Big help in allowing Macs to open documents created with MS Office 2007 created on PCs when someone sends you one as an attachment. I tried downloading the MS "fixes" for Office for Macs 2004, but could never get them to work properly. This is a good fix.
