Pros: compatibility, design, easy to setup, Good Signal, performs well, size, value for money
This 56K USB Data/Fax/TAM Modem is an excellent choice for the occasional user or one on road a lot. I have used these on laptops in the past; and when it came time to replace my desktop, I found a lot of them no longer come standard with one. Since I had other plans for internal expansion, I needed an external option that did not take a lot of space. This is it. Additionally, I can easily disconnect it from the computer and phone line easily, especially in bad weather. When I need it, it works well. It came with a good set of tools for the basic user Phone tools classic but I can see it working with more advanced programs as well. Although I am an occasional user these days, it is a good resource.
